Court remands 3 for kidnapping 4-year-old boy

A Kano Magistrate Court has ordered the remand of three suspects accused of kidnapping a 4-year-old boy and demanding N10 million ransoms in Kano.

The accused persons are Hisbullah Salisu (30), Hassan Ali Rabi’u (28), all residents of Yakasai area of Kano municipality and one Hassan Ali (22), and a resident of Hotoro in Tarauni LGA.

The accused persons pleaded not guilty to the charges.

The suspects were alleged to have kidnapped the boy on September 7, 2024 and taken him to Gwarzo LGA.

They were said to have demanded the sum of N1 million but received N300,000 before the balance.

Magistrate Rakiya Lami Sani ordered the remand of the defendants at a correctional facility and adjourned the case until October 30.
