A magistrate court in Osogbo, Osun State on Monday ordered a 22-year-old man, Tunde Agbaje, to be remanded in prison custody for alleged armed robbery.
The police prosecutor, Inspector Temitope Fatoba, told the court that Agbaje committed the offence on August 13, 2020 at about 9.10pm at the BOVAS filling station at Agunbelewo, Osogbo.
Fatoba said the defendant armed himself with guns and other dangerous weapons and dispossessed the manager of the petrol station, Ademola Omitogun, of a sum of N1.2 million. Agbaje’s plea was not taken.
The magistrate, Ishola Omisade, remanded him at the Ilesa Correctional Centre in the state and adjourned the case till November 16, 2020.
