A Sharia court in Kano State on Monday remanded two housewives in prison for allegedly attacking their neighbour with a pestle.
The police charged Sa’adautu Abubakar (33) and Amina Abdulkadir (20), of Mandawari Sabon Titi area in Gwale LGA with criminal intentional hurt and intimidation.
When the charges were read to them, they pleaded not guilty.
The Judge, Malam Umar Lawal-Abubakar, ordered their remand and adjourned the case to September 18.

Earlier, the prosecutor, Insp Abdullahi Wada, told the court that the complainant, Firdausi Aliyu, reported on August 28, she had a misunderstanding with the defendants about some money after which they attacked her with a pestle. (NAN)
