Ekiti State Magistrate Court, sitting in Ado Ekiti, has ordered two suspected rapists, Suleiman Ojo, 31, and Owoseni Owolabi, 28, be remanded at the Nigerian Correctional Centre, in Ado Ekiti, the state capital.
The Magistrate, Mrs. Modupe Salau, granted the prayer by police prosecutor, Inspector Adejare Elijah, to allow him forward the duplicate case file to the office of Director of Public Prosecutions for legal advice.

The defendant, Suleiman was alleged to have committed the offence of child abduction and rape of a 16-year-old girl in Ado Ekiti, on April 20, 2021, while Owolabi, was also alleged to have raped a 20 year old girl, in Ado-Ekiti onJune 24, 2021.
The prosecutor, said the offence is punishable under sections 225 of the Criminal Code Cap. C16 Laws of Ekiti State, 2012 and 31 of the Child Right Law of Ekiti State, 2012.
Also, the offence is contrary to section 358 of the Criminal Code Cap. C16 Laws of Ekiti state, 2012.
