Court remands 2 for cutting off man’s finger

A Kano State sharia court sitting in Ungogo has remanded two men over allegations of conspiracy, cutting off a man’s finger.

The defendants, Abba Ahmad and Ahmad Sani, were allegedly arraigned following a fight that erupted during a football match in the Dawanau area.

Although the suspects denied the charges, they admitted that they were present when the fight erupted.

The Khadi, Nura Yusuf Ahmad, adjourned the case to September 29, 2024.

In another case, a sharia court sitting in Rijiyar Lemu in Fagge LGA remanded a man, Abdullahi Nafi’u, over allegedly inflicting serious injuries on the son of his sister’s co-wife following a disagreement between his sister and her co-wife.

Earlier, the defendant pleaded not guilty, and the Khadi, Sanusi Danbaba, ordered his remand and adjourned the case to September 25.
