Court remands 2 accused of using drugs for robbery

Two young men have been arraigned before the Kano Magistrate Court No. 45 sitting in Gyadi Gyadi for allegedly spraying a drugging substance on unsuspecting members of the public to rob them of their possessions.

The suspects, Ado Yusuf and Shehu Surajo, allegedly used the tactic under cover of darkness to rob one Isma’il Muhammad Dambatta of his newly rechargeable motorbike and a tricycle from another victim at Danshinshe in Dala LGA of the state 

 The State Counsel, Barrister Muhammad Sani, arraigned them on three count charges of conspiracy to commit crime, armed robbery and possession of accessories to rob, to which they pleaded not guilty.

Counsel to the accused asked the court to administer them to a bail, but the judge, Justice Haulatu Magaji, turned down the request and ordered their remand till January 14 for re-arraignment.
