Earlier, the prosecution counsel, John Okpa, had told the court that the convict deceived one Onyemachi Favour, manager of a Bet9ja shop at Gbazango, Kubwa, into allowing him to play a betting gBame on August 25.
Okpa said Emeka deceived Favour to play the said game at N6,000 via virtual betting but failed to pay the money.
The prosecution counsel said the offence contravened the provisions of Sections 321 of the Penal Code.
Emeka, however, pleaded guilty to the charge.
The defence counsel, Lilian Ibrahim, begged the court for leniency saying Emeka was remorseful and admitted to the offence without wasting the time of the court. (NAN)
