A Chief Magistrate Court in Abuja has fixed January18 for ruling on the bail application filed by the convener of #RevolutionNow, Omoyele Sowore and four others accused of criminal conspiracy, unlawful assembly and public disturbance.
Magistrate Mabel Segun-Bello fixed the date after listening to the application for bail moved by defence counsel, Marshal Abubakar and the opposition by the prosecutor counsel, Adamu Musa.

The court also ordered the defendants to be remanded at the Force CIID facility in Area 10 following complaints by Sowore that they were denied food and medical attention at the Kuje Correctional Centre.
The Magistrate had ordered the remand of Sowore and four others following their arraignment by the police on three-count charge of criminal conspiracy, unlawful assembly and inciting public disturbance.
However, the Nigerian Correctional service FCT Command could not admit the accused persons at its Kuje Medium Custodial Centre citing strict adherence to COVID-19 precautions as reason for the delay.
