Court dissolves 1-year-old marriage over lack of love

A Grade 1 Area Court sitting in Gwagwalada, Abuja, has dissolved the one-year-old marriage between Ali Adamu and Hussaina Bulus.

The presiding judge, while delivering judgment, ordered Hussaina Bulus to observe iddah for three months.

Hussaina, who resides in Kiyi village of Kuje Area Council, had filed a complaint before the court demanding the dissolution of her marriage with her husband, Ali Adamu, over lack of love and interest.

The husband, Ali Adamu, who replied to the court summons, urged the court to grant her prayers,  and the court dissolved the marriage.

Similarly, a housewife, Hauwa Abdulkarim, who resides in Anguwar Dodo, has also asked the court to dissolve her seven-year-old marriage  with her husband, Boyi Adamu, over lack of love.

The husband, Boyi Adamu, who resides in Rafin-Zurfi community, who was in court, said he was still interested in his wife and the presiding judge adjourned the matter till January 18, 2021, to enable the couple to settle the matter among themselves.
