Court dismisses suit against Oba-elect

Following the court’s judgment, the state government has presented a certificate of recognition to Alhaji Adebayo as the Oba-elect, with a promise that he will soon be presented with the staff of office.
Justice Abiodun Adesodun in his judgement refused all the prayers of the plaintiffs, saying they were frivolous and lacking in legal validity.
The suit was instituted on October 19 2011, shortly after Alhaji Adebayo was selected as Oba of the community.
