Couple remanded for assaulting policemen in Lagos

A Lagos mobile court sitting in Oshodi has remanded a man and his wife, Mr and Mrs Clinton Ayohami, in the Kirikiri Custodial Centre for assaulting policemen on a stop-and-search duty

The couple, driving in a Mercedes Benz, were said to have attacked the policemen at Ipaja for stopping their vehicle.

It was learnt that Mrs Ayohami queried the rationale behind the stopping of their car while others ahead were allowed to move on and in the process she and her husband assaulted the officers.
