The defense counsel prayed the court to grant them bail as they had filed a suit before a Kano High Court with the number: K/M1833/2023; presided by Aisha Mahmud seeking an order to stop the Commissioner of Police and the Divisional Police Officer in Tudun Wada for standing on their human rights.
The Magistrate, Ibrahim Mansur Yola, explained that the two cases were different as one was seeking human rights and the other was on an offence allegedly committed, noting that their stay under remand was more secure than being in their house.
Magistrate Yola adjourned the case to January 23.
