The police in Ogun State have arrested a couple, Adeniyi Stephen and his wife, Adetola Adeyinka, alongside one Ojo Sulaimon for allegedly siphoning N8.16 million worth of diesel from a mast belonging to Globacom.
The suspects, all from Agosasa area of Ipokia Local Government Area of Ogun State, were arrested following a report at the Ipokia Divisional Police Headquarters.

One Joseph Gaul Ekanem had reported to the police that thieves had been using a Passat car marked: BNS 261 AAA, to siphon diesel from the mast situated in Agosasa.
The state’s police spokesman, Abimbola Oyeyemi, on Thursday, said following the report, the DPO of Ipokia, Adebayo Akeem, detailed detectives to launch an investigation into the case with the view to bring the perpetrators to book.
According to him, the investigation led to the arrest of the vehicle which subsequently led to the arrest of the three suspects.
Oyeyemi further said during interrogation the suspects “all confessed to the commission of the crime. They also confessed to have siphoned 32,651 litres of diesel valued at N8,162,750m.”
He explained that, “Preliminary investigation revealed that Adeniyi Stephen is a staff of the company and mastermind of the operation.”
Oyeyemi further said the Commissioner of Police, Edward Awolowo Ajogun, had ordered that the suspects be charged to court as soon as investigation was concluded.
