There has been a call for a concerted effort among countries to end terrorism.

Speakers said this in Abuja Monday during the 26/11 Mumbai Terrorist Attack 13th Anniversary organized by the Afro Asian Initiative for Community Development.

Publisher, Global Upfront Newspapers and member, Daily Trust Editorial Board, Madu Onuorah, said all nations must work together to defeat terrorism.

He said: “13 years ago, terrorism was alien to Nigeria. But today, Nigeria is ranked third in the 2021 Global Terrorism Index, after Afghanistan and Iraq. Now, almost the whole of the Northern part of the country is reeling from one form of terrorism or the other.”

He said international cooperation and joint operations to arrest masterminds and those involved in the Mumbai attack should be replicated by all countries.

President, Indian Cultural Association, Abuja Ramesh Ghadge, said: “We need to work hand in hand to save humanity. The situation in Nigeria is also there. All Nigerians and Indians should be more alert,” he said.

President, Afro Asian Initiative for Community Development, Kiran Gosavi, said all those found culpable in the attack must be prosecuted, “The attack remains an open case with Pakistani state complicity still-debated,” he said.
