The National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu has ordered the full implementation of the Cybercrimes (Prohibition, Prevention, Etc) Amendment Act 2024 with a view to strengthening counter-terrorism in Nigeria.
Ribadu also directed the operationalisation of the National Cybersecurity Fund by all regulators and businesses specified in the second schedule of the Act.

The NSA made the order via a statement issued Thursday night by the head of the strategic communications in the Office of the National Security Adviser, Zakari Mijinyawa.
He said African leaders, after a two-day high level international counter-terrorism meeting held in Abuja called for the improved deployment of greater support and resources towards strengthening cybersecurity activities in Africa.
