Gunmen have abducted a staff of Egor Local Government Area of Edo State, Augustina Uwadiae.
It was gathered that the woman was kidnapped while returning home from work at Ugbiyokho community in the Egor LGA, prompting many of the council staff to abandon their duty posts.
It was learnt that her abductors were yet to make contact with anyone.
The woman’s husband, Vincent Uwadiae, who is the Chairman of Edo State Oil and Gas Producing Areas Communities (EDSOGPADEC) confirmed the incident to journalists.
The Edo State Police Public Relations officer DSP Moses Nkombe, said he was yet to get details of the abduction.
