Kabba Council of Chiefs on Saturday lauded Oba Michael Olobayo, the Obaro of Kabba on his 30th Anniversary on the throne.
The leader of the council, Chief Matthew Tolorunleke, who is the Obagbayi of Kabba told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Kabba that Obaro is an excellent leader.
He noted that the reign of Oba Olobayo had brought peace and joy to the entire people of Kabba and its environs.
Tolorunleke noted that Oba Olobayo was never biased, adding that he supports only things that brought about peace and development.
"30 years look just like yesterday and our ‘Kabiyesi’ is still waxing stronger and stronger," he said.
Tolorunleke urged Kabba people to continue to work assiduously with the royal father for a continued harmonious relationship in the community.
He prayed God to continue to guide and protect the leader, saying that in no time he would also celebrate his golden jubilee on the throne of his fathers.
Tolorunleke said the council was happy and privileged to have Oba Olobayo as their King over the years.
Also in his Speech, Mr Bode Adeyemi, Senior Special Assistant to Gov. Idris Wada of Kogi, also congratulated the traditional ruler on his 30th anniversary.
He prayed God to continue to grant him sound health and wisdom to ruler his people.
He said that Oba Olobayo had always been a peaceful ruler, who respects all the indigenes of his community.
"I have never seen such a humble King in my life, he is a listening King who makes sure he did what is right," Adeyemi said.
NAN recalled that Obaro of Kabba, attained the throne of his father in October 1985 after a court judgement which ruled in his favour.
Olobayo is the Chairman of Okun Traditional Rulers and also the Secretary to Kogi Council of Chiefs. (NAN)
