The chairman of Sardauna Local Government Area of Taraba State, Mr Oliver Wubon, has commended Jesuit Refugees Services for providing medical services and other kinds of support for refugees and internally displaced persons in his local government area.
He told North East Trust that the refugees are from English-speaking area of Cameroon Republic affected by the crisis in that country.

The chairman stated that the communities in the local government have accommodated the refugees and fully integrated them.
He said their children were enrolled into primary and post-primary schools in the area.
Wubon thanked Jesuit for providing health services to both the refugees and the host community.
He said Jesuit, which is an international non-governmental organisation, has helped improved good relationship between the host community and refugees.
Mr Wubon disclosed that there are 8,310 refugees in his local government area out of which 2,321were registered.
The Head of Programme JRS Nigeria, Miss Tamara Hart, said the organisation had assisted 50,000 refuges in Taraba, Adamawa, Borno and Abuja.
She said JRS was founded in 1980 and is currently working in 59 countries across the globe with a mission to accompany, serve and advocate the cause of refugees and other forcibly displaced people.
