The Chairman of Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC) Abdullahi Adamu Candido has said corruption is multidimensional and everyone is involved.
Candido who spoke during a one day sensitisation programme for staff organized by Independent Corrupt Practices and other Offences Commission (ICPC), said corruption is committed daily in work places.
He urged the public not to see ICPC as a witch-hunting agency but rather, a watch dog and corrective agency for organizations, noting that reporting to work late or playing truancy were also acts of corruption.
The representative of (ICPC), Mr. Justin Kwuatsea, said corruption cannot be completely removed from the public office but can be brought to a minimal rate, if organizations work hand in hand with the agency.
He said with the help of the ICPC, and other financial crime agencies in the country, funds which have been diverted into individual pockets could be recovered and used for development.
