The deceased appeared well dressed in brown trousers and a white shirt with a white cap to match, as well as a wristwatch when City & Crime visited the scene.
A resident of the area, Mallam Ahmed, said they woke to discover the dead body in the morning inside water, with his body facing the ground.
“This is a suspected case of suicide. The man was well dressed. When we got there, we saw a pen, sack and paper on top of the bridge at the spot where he was suspected to have jumped into the water, but nothing was on the paper,” he said.
