The acting Director General (DG) of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Mrs Christy Uba, has cautioned corps members to avoid using social media for spreading fake news, fuelling hatred and other negative purposes.
She also urged them to distance themselves from cultism, drug abuse and other social vices, advising them to use their social media platforms to promote national unity and development.

Speaking at the swearing of the 2022 Batch C Stream II corps members on Tuesday in Kaduna State, she urged stakeholders to join in the call for the establishment of the NYSC Trust Fund which was awaiting assent by President Mohammadu Buhari.
She said the fund would enhance the smooth operations of the scheme by addressing infrastructure and providing start-up capital to corps members.
