Corp members had allegedly barricaded the gate to the Headquarters of Mushin Local Government on Saturday to protest the non payment of their allowance owed them by INEC.

It was gathered that the corp members were instigated by some had-hoc staff of INEC who were also being owed their allowances.

On hearing the assault on Adeleke, the Area Commander in charge of Area D Command, Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Olasuji Akinbayo, swiftly moved in and arrested the driver.

He also took the Corp member to an undisclosed hospital, where he was treated and the ACP paid for the treatment.

It was also learnt that the driver was detained at the Area Command Headquarters at Mushin.
