The National Agricultural Mechanize Cooperative Society (NAMCS) said it would train and register businesses for 12,000 youths nationwide towards its efforts to get Nigeria out of recession.
The society said the 12,000 participants would, at the end of the four-day training, be awarded certificates from the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC), Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency (SMEDAN), NAMCS Certificate, along with business plans and opportunity to access business loans.
Media Assistant to the Society’s President, Abdulyekeen Rilwan, at a briefing in Kaduna yesterday said the training is targeted at youths who are interested in contributing to the nation’s economy.
“The period of registration is from Monday, November 16, to December 30, 2020, after which training will commence.
“The successful trainees will receive training on tomato paste production, poultry, fish farming, toothpaste production, fashion and design, animal feeds, and animal fattening, among others.
“The loan repayment period is 10months while only civil servants will stand as guarantors to loan applicants,” Rilwan explained.
