The management of Edo University Iyamho has disclosed that its graduating students who have the best entrepreneurial business ideas would be awarded N5 million.
The Vice Chancellor, Emmanuel Aluyor, disclosed this yesterday in Iyamho, Etsako West local government of Edo State, while briefing journalists on the 2nd convocation of the school slated for November 7.
He said the money was to enable the winning students to actualise their business ideas.
He said the institution was able to complete the 2019/2020 second semester lectures and examinations through its CANVAS LMS despite the coronavirus pandemic.
He said four students bagged first class, 21 second class upper division, 22 second class lower division while three bagged third class.
“The goal set for Edo University Iyamho is that our students will graduate with entrepreneurial skills that will make them not only entrepreneurs (self-employed) but also employers of labour.
He said graduates of the institution would contribute significantly through the knowledge and skills acquired to the development of Edo State in particular and Nigeria as a whole.
