Convention: PDP governors meet today as party screens aspirants

Governors, who are members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), will meet today ahead of the October 30 and 31 National Convention of the party.

Daily Trust learnt that the meeting of the governors operating under the auspices of PDP Governors’ Forum would focus on the issues that arose after the NWC offices had been micro-zoned at various geo-political zones.

At present, aggrieved aspirants from South West, South East, and North East are preparing to slug it out at the convention for the positions of Deputy National Chairman, South, Deputy National Chairman, North, and National Secretary respectively after the failure of the processes of micro-zoning and consensus arrangements.
