The Ona of Abaji and Chairman of the FCT Council of Traditional Rulers, His Royal Majesty (HRM) Alhaji Adamu Baba Yunusa, has called on the youths of the territory to continue to be peaceful and law abiding to constituted authorities at all times anytime they are seeking anything from government.

Alhaji Yunusa made the call when he received the leadership of the Abuja Original Inhabitants Youth Empowerment Organisation (AOIYEO) led by its President, Issac David, at his palace on Saturday.

The monarch said he was impressed with the way and manner the youths of the FCT conducted themselves peacefully during the EndSARS protests, noting that nothing would be achievable without unity and peace.

Alhaji Yunusa who passed a vote of confidence on the group for its achievements, especially in the area of youth and women empowerment across the FCT, urged the group on with its philanthropic agenda.

He said, “Honestly, your group under your leadership is trying and I am proud of that, but you need to try harder as our challenges in the FCT are much.”

Earlier, the President of AOIYEO, Issac David, said he decided to lead the executive of the organisation to pay a courtesy visit to the monarch in order to appreciate him and intimate him on the achievements of the organisation.

He said the organisation had been able to coordinate youths across the FCT in ensuring that they conducted themselves peacefully during the EndSARS protests, even as he informed the traditional ruler that the organisation was also making arrangements to empower another set of youths across the territory.
