The Senate Committee on the review of the 1999 Constitution will, on Wednesday, submit its report to the plenary.
Deputy Senate President, Ovie Omo-Agege, who chairs the committee, stated this on Tuesday at the commencement of plenary.
- From Kyari to Fani-Kayode, 11 prominent Nigerians who ‘suddenly got sick’ in troubled times
- Buhari demands return of more Nigeria’s artefacts from abroad
Omo-Agege presided over the plenary due to the absence of Senate President, Ahmad Lawan, who is expected to give further details on the matter on Wednesday.
He said further that the report would be distributed to the lawmakers to study its contents and return on Tuesday, March 1, to vote on the amendments.
He added that the report after the vote by the two chambers of the National Assembly would be transmitted to state houses of assembly for their inputs.
