A chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and former Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Barr Abdullahi Jalo, has said the North will not compromise its status in the ongoing constitution review and calls for restructuring.
Jalo, who spoke with our reporter in a telephone interview, Wednesday, said in restructuring Nigeria it should be taken into consideration that the North has the largest voting population.
He said the 2014 national confab convened by then President Goodluck Jonathan’s administration had taken care of all the demands concerning the restructuring of the country.
“It is the failure of the National Assembly to do the correct thing that all these are happening. They now quickly started the process of amending the constitution while the solution is at their fingertips,” he said.
