Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, on Friday, sued for peace among members of the party ahead of the state congresses of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The Kwara Governor made the appeal at a stakeholders’ meeting which held at the Banquet Hall, Ilorin.

He asked members of the party to come out on time and work together in the interest of peace in the party.

Represented by his Deputy, Kayode Alabi, the governor pleaded with the members to ensure peace reigns.

“I beg you in the name of God, we need to move forward and the only way to do that is to work together peacefully. We need love.”

“There is a time to fight and time for peace. We need peace in Kwara state and APC. There is a time to rejoice, but I want to caution the people who love you not to rejoice in a deriding manner.

“I beg you in the name of God, when you want to rejoice, don’t use it to mock people. It is not good. It is not mature and it is not professional. If you call yourself a politician you should be able to work with the good, the bad and the ugly.

“I am begging you in the name of God, we don’t need to fight each other. If somebody at the top tells you to carry gun and fight, tell him to order his children to come and carry the gun and fight. Don’t fight on behalf of anybody. Let those who have lost out and want to fight, fight themselves. We don’t need fight in APC in Kwara state. What we need is peace. Where there is peace there will be meaningful development”, he added.
