Confusion in Lagos PDP over ‘suspension’ of exco members

There was confusion in the Lagos State chapter of the PDP on Wednesday following the purported suspension of three members of the state working committee.

There has been a trending report to the effect that the State Secretary, Prince Muiz Dosunmu, the Publicity Secretary, Barr. Taofiq Gani and Nurudeen Adewale, an ex-officio member have been suspended.

The Chairman of the party, Hon. Deji Doherty, however, confirmed to our correspondent that the three officers were suspended for “anti-party activities.”

But the duo of Dosunmu and Gani dismissed the purported suspension, which they said was a lie.

Doherty told Daily Trust that 38 out of 57 members of the state executive suspended the party’s exco members at a forum.

When contacted, the state secretary accused the chairman of forging people’s signatures, insisting that he remains the secretary of the party.

When contacted, the publicity secretary also described his suspension as a lie. Rather he issued a statement that the chairman had ‘resigned’ but the chairman dismissed the claim.

Similarly, the State Legal Adviser, A.T Muyideen distanced himself from the purported suspension of the exco.
