An 18-year-old conductor, Azeez Balogun, on Thursday appeared before an Ikeja magistrates’ court for allegedly beating up a passenger and removing two of his teeth.
The prosecutor, ASP Raji Akeem, told the court that on June 24, at the Ile-Epo Bus Stop, Abule Egba Road, Lagos, the complainant, Mr Shina Olarewaju, boarded a commercial bus from Ile-Epo to Abule-Egba and that an argument ensued between him and the defendant over a N100 change.
The prosecutor said that the defendant dragged the complainant down, beat him up and removed two of his teeth, in addition to tearing his clothes.
The defendant pleaded not guilty.

The Magistrate, Mrs Bola Osunsanmi, granted the defendant bail in the sum of N20,000 with two sureties in like sum and adjourned the case top August 8. (NAN)
