Governor Nasir El-Rufai has called on the new Emir of Zazzau, Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli, to be fair and just to all the people of the emirate.
The governor also told the emir that the competition for the throne was over hence the need for the emir to unite the people, including all those who didn’t support him.

Governor El-Rufai gave the advice when he received the Emir’s delegation at the Government House on a thank-you visit on Wednesday.
“My appeal is you continue to bring everyone together , everyone close, tap from everyone’s experience that the council members have accumulated in the administration of Zazzau emirate.
“So that working together will make Zazzau emirate achieve great stride and development, peaceful coexistence and unity. I call on the emir to be fear and just to everyone. Those that supported him and those that didn’t because the competition is over. The hard work now begins of uniting everyone, achieving progress and preserving the nobility of this reverse institution that we are all very proud of,” he said.
Earlier, Emir Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli told the governor that they were at the government house for a thank you visit for chosen him as late Emir Dr Shehu Idris’s successor.
“It’s not an easy task due to the competition faced during the selection process but assured the governor of the emirate’s continue loyalty.
He also told the governor that all the dynasties are represented in his delegation which means that there is peace, unity in the emirate.
” So I believe we are one family and I don’t have any reason whatsoever to sideline any of the dynasties. We are all brothers and we have been together for long time. I served as Magajin Gari for 19 years so I have the experience to carry everybody along,” he said.
