The members of Tinshama community in Nassarawa Local Government Area have raised concern over the absence of motorable roads leading to the community despite having a large population.
Speaking on behalf of the community members, Malam Gambo Abubakar Zangina, said people living in the area had been facing a serious challenge accessing their homes, especially during the rainy season.
He explained that the road leading to the area had been in a very terrible state thereby making it almost difficult to be used by commuters.
He explained that the community was made to believe that their pleas were received by the state government in 2019 when work on the road began but was later abandoned.
“The road is bad. We were elated when the state government responded to our initial call and began rehabilitation of the road from the ring road to Giginyu that was towards the 2019 elections. “But to our dismay, the work was abandoned and the problem is being compounded as commercial vehicles charge extra to drop a passenger in Tinshama.
“We are using this opportunity to appeal to the Kano State government to look into our plight and save us from total disconnection from other parts of the state,” he said.
