The Nwud community in Boki Local Government Area of Cross River State has expressed happiness over the construction of an access bridge into their settlement.
Erosion had washed away an old bridge years ago thereby cutting off the community.
Speaking on behalf of the community during a ceremony, one of the local chiefs, Ntufam Obutong Ernest, said Governor Ben Ayade has done well to have looked into their plight, adding that the bridge will link them to Boje, the headquarters of the local government area.
Director-General Cross River State Rural Development Agency, Ntufam Okon N. Owuna, also commended Ayade, saying the new bridge will help to lessen the harsh conditions the people of Boje faced.
