Oil-producing communities in Anambra State have lamented the activities of oil thieves in their areas, which have resulted in the government losing nine million litres of petroleum products daily.
The communities affected are Ogwuanocha, Ogwuikpele, Umunankwo and Osamalla in Ogbaru Local Government Area of the state.
One of the town union leaders, Prince Chris Okwuosa, who spoke with Daily Trust on Sunday in Awka, said the illegal exploration of oil has been on in the last three years.
