‘Come back to earn your degree’, LASU urges Bella Schmurda

The Lagos State University has urged fast-rising singer, Akinbiyi Abiola Ahmed, popularly known as Bella Shmurda, to come back to school and earn a degree.

The school urged the rave-of-moment artiste to complete his tertiary education shortly after the singer took to social media to tell his fans that he was glad he dropped out of school to face his passion — music.

On his birthday, Bella Shmurda had posted these words via his Twitter account, @fineboybella, “I now worth over half a billion streams (550millions streams to be precise). Responding to the singer’s tweet, the Lagos varsity tweeted, “Happy birthday @fineboybella. Glad you have come this far pursuing your dream. Also glad @LASUOfficial played a part in your beautiful story because Univ. don’t make people rich, only incubate them to find and achieve purpose. BTW, please come back to class and earn your degree.”(sic)

Meanwhile, during his birthday party, top Nigerian celebrities like Wizkid and Zlatan Ibile stormed the venue of the event to celebrate with the singer as he turned 25.

Wizkid had earlier, on Thursday, celebrated the singer on his Instagram story where he hinted that he was going to be present at his birthday bash. He wrote, “Live long Omo Iya mi, we go chop life tonight.
