College trains over 3000 primary school teachers in Kano

Over 3,000 primary school teachers have completed their Professional Qualifying Examination (PQE) training facilitated by the Aminu Kano College of Legal Studies, Kano.

A statement signed by the College’s Public Relations Officer (PRO) Malam Salisu Marafa Sagagi, revealed that the training was aimed at boosting professionalism in teaching.

The statement added that the initiative was part of the college’s efforts in complimenting the state’s government initiative under its teacher upgrade scheme and to assist the beneficiaries meet the mandatory requirements set by the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN).

“The gesture will assist all the trained teachers by getting them registered with national body and they will be issued with license and certificate that will make them to be more professional,” the statement said.

It added that the college, under the leadership of Professor Balarabe Abubakar Jakada, had attained a greater height in terms of its contribution towards educational development in the state.
