The Concerned Jos Youth Association (COJOYA), on Monday, offered free medical outreach to vulnerable communities of Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau State.
About 300 vulnerable children from Yan Bulala, Unguwan Rogo and Laranto communities, between the ages of 5 and 10, benefited from the outreach.
According to the chairman of the group, Barrister Ibrahim Shehu, the essence of the outreach was to provide succour to the poor especially their children who were often vulnerable to contracting diseases outside their homes.
He said: “This is an annual end of the year medical outreach. It has been the practice of the group to offer such assistance at the end of every year. This year, we focused on the children of the vulnerable ones alone. “
The chairman called on the well-to-do individuals in Jos communities to engage in providing such assistance as many people were experiencing various health problems that needed urgent attention.
