A joint security team comprising officers from the Nigerian Navy, Nigeria Custom Service, INTEEPOL, and National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have arrested “MV CHAYANEE NAREE”, a ship, for allegedly carrying 32.9 kg cocaine.

The ship, was arrested outside Lagos water during a strong operations carried out by the team.

The illicit substance was hidden in one of the engine compartment of the ship.

As at the time of filing this report, the ship was also carrying sugar which it is expected to discharge in one of the terminals in Lagos.
