COAS inspects recovered weapons in Borno

The Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lt.-Gen. Faruk Yahaya has commended troops of the North East Joint Task Force Operation Hadin Kai (OPHK) for the successes recorded against the remnant of the Boko Haram insurgents in the region.

Faruk hailed the gallantry and feat achieved by the military while inspecting cache of high calibre ammunition recovered in Sambisa Forest by the troops under the “Operation Desert Sanity,” on Tuesday in Maiduguri.

The army chief said he was highly elated with what he saw and urged the troops to do more.
