In a communiqué signed by Comrade Sani Bature, the coalition explained that Aishatu has delivered crucial dividends of democracy in critical areas of health, education, roads, power, rural infrastructure, agriculture, water borehole, manpower development and women and youth empowerment during her tenure in the House of Representatives from 2011 to 2015.

According to the communiqué, Aishatu’s performance, unparalleled legislative acumen, unassailable technocratic competence and unrivalled advocacy for the inalienable rights of people in her constituents earned her the endorsement.

“Hon Aishatu Ahmed also attracted numerous federally-funded projects to her constituency and crucially kick-started and fast-tracked economic growth, infrastructural development and the budding industrial revolution of sorts to her Senatorial Zone and the North-East Zone as a whole,” the communiqué stated.
