A Coalition – ReadyTo Lead Africa, PROMAD Foundation and Development of Delta State Leaders Alliance – has advocated for meaningful research among major countries of the world to ensure effective implementation of Sustainable Development Goals, SDGs.
In a press statement signed by the Media and Communication Lead, ReadyTo Lead Africa, RLA, Princess Attah, which was made available to journalists in Abuja, the group emphasized the need for a knowledge-driven economy.
According to the statement, ReadyTo Lead Africa president, Godbless Otubure, in his address at the United Nations, UN 8th Annual Multi-Stakeholders Forum on Science, Technology and Innovation on how to Achieve Sustainable Development Goals, SDGs in New York, United States of America had called for synergy among countries of the world.
According to the statement, he had also observed that his firm, in collaboration with the Nigeria Youth Future Funds, NYFF, which are global research cooperation, was in search of adequate funding to be utilized to ensure crucial research, adding that advancing scientific, social, democratic, and economic knowledge was needed to address major global challenges such as climate Change.

“We believe collaboration allows researchers and funders to pool resources, share expertise, and access a wider range of data and research subjects,” he explained.
According to the coalition, research can lead to a breakthrough in areas such as medicine, energy, agriculture, social engineering, and democracy as well as address climate change.
Meanwhile, the group has also advocated for a cordial mutual collaboration with other organisations, stressing that such could help bridge the knowledge gap and that of infrastructure, especially between developed and developing countries.
“Research and collaboration in our new multi-polar world clearly can no longer be about science, technology and innovation alone. The social sciences and the work of activists working on promoting democracy, inclusive economic growth models, and new sources of livelihoods for millions of people remain critical,” he stressed.
