The Technical Adviser of Nasarawa United, Coach Kabiru Dogo, has expressed satisfaction with his side’s 1-0 victory over neighbours Lobi Stars of Makurdi in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) week 16 match at the Lafia Township Stadium.
Qamar Adegoke’s strike in the 14th minute of the north-central derby was all Nasarawa United needed to record a second consecutive victory.
Considering their precarious position on the table, the victory has no doubt provided a significant boost Nasarawa United’s survival hopes.
Dogo while speaking with journalists in a post-match interview said: “There have been improvement in our last three games, but there is still room for more improvement. We need to win more games and move up higher the ladder.

“Today’s (Saturday) game was a fierce rivalry clash, full of high intensity and technicalities. Lobi Stars are not a pushover side. They gave us a good fight because they are well acclimatised with the terrain here as they use this same turf for their home games.
“We thank our supporters and fans for their undiluted support and we implore them never to relent as we will get out of the present predicament.
The scorer of the lone goal, Adegoke said: “I feel great scoring the winning goal for my team today. This is my second goal for the club in four appearances this season.
“I wish to score as many goals as possible to help my team come out of its current situation.”
