He spoke Wednesday in a Christmas church service at IIleteju Mopa, Mopamuro LGA of Kogi State where he said the nation would progress rapidly if the people have a change of heart and preach peace. According to him, people should not only be concerned about merry making in the season but also offer prayers for the nation.
He urged Nigerians to eschew carnality and live righteous lives, saying life is not about outward appearance but what people do in secret. The clergyman described virginity as exhibited by Mary the mother of Jesus Christ as a sign of purity and urged people to take salvation which Jesus Christ came to give mankind, as a noble ideal.
Ige urged the people to pray for the nation to overcome its challenges.
