Gunmen on Saturday abducted an Islamic cleric, Alfa Sofiu Amolegbe, his son, Aliyu, and brother, Fasasi, from his residence at the Oko Olowo area along Ilorin-Jebba expressway.
The father of the cleric, Imam Amolegbe, who confirmed the incident on Sunday, said the kidnappers later abandoned Fasasi after cutting him with a matchet thinking he was dead, and that he had since been admitted in a private hospital in Ilorin.
