Cleric says prayers main weapon against insurgents, kidnappers

A Christian cleric, Bishop Mike Bamidele, has charged anointed ministers of God to intensify prayers against insurgents, kidnappers, and other groups causing a breach of peace in Nigeria.

Bishop Bamidele of Victory Chapel International, who is also the convener of Pentecost Day celebration in the Osun State, said prayer remained the major weapon required to fight and defeat insurgents and kidnappers.

While invoking Holy Ghost Fire on the enemies of peace sponsoring insurgents and kidnappers and aiding insecurity, he called on men of God not to relent in praying fervently for peace and security in the country.

He said the celebration of Pentecost Day with enthusiasm gives hope for a better future.

The event featured a Minister’s Fire Conference and a Holy Ghost Rally at Government Technical College in Osogbo, the state capital.

Bishop Bamidele used the occasion to pray for Nigeria and Osun State and charged Christians to keep praying to God to end insecurity in the country.

He said: “We today declared that fire will surround the leadership.

“Anyone that crosses the boundary, cause a breach of the peace or to do evil, may he be destroyed by fire and roasted to ashes.”
