Claws off my dinner! Jackal defies gravity, fights off vultures taking its meal – and wins

This incredible picture shows the moment a jackal defied gravity as it leaped into the air to fight off vultures who were trying to take his meal.The hungry birds swooped in as they tried to get their claws on the jackal’s kill, but it was not going to give it up without a fight. Despite having six vultures to contend with, the determined wild dog is pictured jumping up to take on the scavengers. The vultures were no match for the jackal who was able to fend them off before making a swift getaway with the carcass of a small animal between its teeth. But it was not easy work, with the hunter taking a full 10 minutes scrapping for its dinner.
