Church empowers pupils in AMAC community

The schools that benefitted from the donations were LEA Primary School Galadimawa and LEA Primary School Kuchigoro.
According to the coordinator of the group from the church, who spearheaded the donation, Nwanua Roland, Church is not all about preaching the word but also affecting the host community and advancing the lives of the less privileged in the community.
He said the church has been at the forefront of making lives better for the residents since its inception four years ago.
While addressing newsmen, the church’s General Overseer, Pastor Godwin Uwuba’Men said charity is in line with the commandment of God.
Pastor Godwin, who was represented by his wife, Pastor Seun Uwuba’Men, said when Jesus came, he came to touch the lives of everybody, and that is the real church.
“Church is touching lives, especially the people around your community. That was what motivated us to do this. Today, we are fulfilling what God asked us to do, we have been celebrating God for the last four years, so we want people around us to celebrate with us, and since not everybody can come to church, we go to them to bless them,” he said.
The Head teacher of LEA Primary School Galadimawa, Kene Augustina, who spoke on behalf of the two schools, expressed delight at the actions of the church, calling on other religion bodies to do same.
Among writing materials donated were exercise books, pencils, erasers, sharpeners, rulers, while drinks were also given to the pupils.
