The Deeper Life Bible Church (DLBC) in Yola has warned the public against carrying bags and other suspicious objects that could cause bomb scare at its annual gathering.
Addressing journalists in Yola, the General overseer of the church in Adamawa, Pastor Adeniyi Hassan said adequate security measures were in place to ensure incident-free gathering during an event scheduled for Saturday.
The grand event scheduled to hold on Saturday will feature Pastor William Kumuyi, the world wide General Supretendant who will conduct a special session of bible study in Yola.
Hassan noted that the church was working with security agencies to ensure security at the event, calling on participants to avoid carrying bags to the venue.
He therefore urged bishops and heads of church from different denominations in the state to mobilize their members to the programme.
He expressed confidence that Nigeria would steer its way out of the current security and economic challenges as faithful continue to pray for the country.
"Although the programme is an in-house one, but Kumuyi has directed that we should expand it for the the people to benefit, not limiting it to deeper live members alone. We are calling on pastors and bishops of various denominations to mobilize their members for the programme", he stated..
