The alumni of Christ’s School, Ado Ekiti, Ekiti State, have honoured the governor, Dr Kayode Fayemi, and renowned poet, Prof. Niyi Osundare, with awards for their contributions to society.

The awards were presented to the duo during the inauguration of the school archive and museum donated by the 1967-71/73 set.

This was disclosed in a statement by the chairman of the 50th Anniversary of Graduation Committee, Dr Charles ‘Diji Akinola.

Akinola said the awards were in recognition of Fayemi’s outstanding performance in leadership and governance and Osundare’s academic and literary accomplishments.

Fayemi, while commending the alumni for their efforts, described the project as remarkable.

He urged other alumni to emulate the gesture.

The president of the set, Ayodele Dada, said the projects were to preserve the rich heritage of the school.
